My music24 widget shows old numbers or a message
Widgets update about every hour when your phone allows it. Open the app to update them now, and see what each widget message means.
The fastest fix is to open music24. The widgets do not load numbers themselves: the app saves your numbers on the phone and the widgets show them. Open the app and it updates every widget.
When the numbers update
- The app updates your widgets about every hour, when your phone allows it. The phone picks the exact time, and battery saving can delay it.
- Open music24 to update the widgets now. On iPhone, the app does this when it comes to the front, at most every 15 minutes.
- On iPhone, the hourly update needs Background App Refresh. Turn it on in the iPhone Settings → General → Background App Refresh, for music24 too.
- Your streams change once a day, because your sources report each day 1 to 2 days late. A widget that shows yesterday is on time. See My numbers did not update.
- When the numbers are more than 24 hours old, a widget says Updated and when, or dims its number on the small iPhone size.
- The app keeps up to 6 artists up to date: the artists of your widgets and the active artist.

Questions
Why does my music24 widget not show today’s streams?
Your sources report each day 1 to 2 days late, so the newest day is never today. Open the app to make sure the widget has the newest numbers we have.
Why did my widget go blank after I switched workspace?
Widgets show only the workspace that is open in the app. A widget set to an artist of the other workspace asks you to switch back, or to pick another artist.
